Getting prepared...

There are certain things we need from you in order to get your website quotation underway. These are:

  • your logo (if you don't have one, we can help)
  • a site map of the proposed website, showing the name of each page on the proposed site
  • photos you'd like to use (your own or from a stock library)
  • text for each page (in a Word document or similar)
  • the completed website questionnaire.

You may have a very clear idea of what you want and have these already... or you may have no idea where to start. We can help at any stage -- just let us know your proficiency and when you'd like us to step in.

Please note that until we have the items listed above we cannot provide you with an accurate quote. Any quotes provided before then will be estimates only.

Naming conventions
What is your organisation’s full name?
What will the website be titled?
What will be the website's URL?

Your market
Who are your clients or target markets?
What are you offering these clients?
What is your call to action (eg: “All our chicken is fresh, not frozen”)? Should we feature this as a tagline on your site?
What impression should your clients have when viewing your website (eg: “luxurious”, “technically superior”, "approachable & friendly", etc)?

Competitors
Who are your major competitors? Do they have websites? (This competitor analysis is very important, so please be as detailed as possible.)

Your ideas
Do you have a particular style in mind for your website (eg: crisp, modern, atmospheric, warm colours, traditional, etc)?
Do you know what type of imagery (ie: photos, illustrations) you would like to use on your site?
Do you have any restrictions we should follow (eg: no Flash animation, must be colour-blind accessible, all forms securely encrypted, etc)?
What are your favourite websites, and why? (This gives us an idea of what you would find attractive, so feel free to list as many as you like.)
